There are two types of text: narrative and expository. The main purpose of the narrative text is to tell a story. Its structure consists of a begging, middle and end, characters, conflict and setting.

The main purpose of the expository text is to describe or inform, and their authors have to search for information about a certain topic. This data must be organized in a logical and interesting manner using different expositery text structures, been the most common ones: description, enumerative or listing, sequence, comparison and contrast, cause and efect and problem and solution.

In order to understand the expository text we have gadered information about climate changes and set up to write a text using each structure. In addition, there is a power presentation as a complement for you to download.
