What is Language? Can it be so easily defined? We know that is a system of symbols agreed by convention in order to communicate with one another, yet is that all there is to it? Linguistics is the scientific study of language, a multidisciplinary science that takes history, society, psychology, neurology and other areas in order to explain this complex phenomenon.
Here I present a concept map plus a report concerning Language and linguistics. An approach taken from Yule’s book: “The Study of the Language”, Chapters 1 and 2.
